Today I baked Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies from a recipe passed on from women in my family before me. The smell of warm pumpkin and cinnamon takes me back to chilly fall days in my mom's kitchen. These happen to be my middle sons absolute favorite cookie and for his birthday instead of cake he requests these every year. Of course I happily oblige. Any excuse to warm my house with the aroma of fall.
