In a herd of black & white, she sticks out like a sore thumb. But because of that I never seen her pass a lambing season without twins on her. And luckily she doesnt pass her color on too. Just maybe the elk head toss attitude (if you Black Bellys ya know exactly what I'm talking about)! If anyone is after pasture fed lambs for their own herd or freezer, start reaching out. The lambs will soon start being collected of the fields!

What do you guys use for fly control? Another lambing season upon me. And I have admit middle of July is my least favorite to do so, its just how the pieces fall in our accelerated lambing program. And some days are just miserable. But God's creation still finds ways to entertain me! Look at this lil hand zipping around getting a late breakfast!

I raise Dorpers for a reason... But I work for others that have those wooly girls. These beautiful Texel x White Dorper ewes retain their wool, but throw big stout black head lambs when bred back to Dorper. Their frame & milk just give an overall better package, just unfortunately involves wool.
Im also noticing its going to be a record breaking hot summer. Though I really stepped back from shearing in the past. I would appreciate if my friends/clients pass my name/number, for I'm looking to step back in. I do travel & helping those in need is my passion!

Are you looking to start your own flock or need replacement ewe lambs? Here's your chance! Take one or take all! These girls are fresh & ready to get to work for ya! Commercial Dorpers, born January 2026. Will shed out (no more shearing!) they come from moms that lamb & support twins, bunk broke & been on pasture for last 45 days. They are utd vaccinated. Pretty quiet to work with, easy to corral up. I have a group of solid black heads or ones with a lil extra paint (in my opinion that comes from a Katahdin influence with a taller frame too). I will make a separate post for each with video, and then pictures in comments. Please pm or text 970-403-4132 for any information. Located in Kirtland NM. Transportation is available for extra.
