Food comes from families. Families just like mine. Families that make up 1.5% of the population and are tasked with feeding the rest of the population. And also providing efficient biofuels for vehicles and fibers for clothing. Families that are ridiculed for “ruining the environment” yet also expected to keep feeding the exact people that ridicule us.

Here’s the facts: agriculture isn’t ruining the environment. Agriculture is more efficient than ever, producing more food on less land and with less water every single year. Our soils are fertile, our cows are happy, and our land is more than able to keep producing and carry our farms into many future generations. It’s not turning into a desert, I promise. No one cares more about the land than the farmers. Don’t let some “documentary” convince you otherwise. Just ask farmers what’s really happening out here, we’re pretty easy to talk to and get along with.
