Last call on the beans… a frost is on its way.

We have potatoes, squash, flowers, mums and cabbages and cute fall finds. We also have some extra special daffodil bulbs that are deer resistant. Plant them now for spring enjoyment.

Grab some bulbs (these are the MOST gorgeous daffodils), a cute hand painted pumpkin, some mums or some cut flowers. Mozart is waiting for you!

It would be a SHAME for you to miss out on the MOST beautiful flower, the dahlia. A few of us flower farmers are still trucking on after a close call with frost. Flower farmers offer something special, an amazing flower fresh from their field. No one else can offer a bouquet like this. There are two other flower farmers knocking it out of the park with their dahlia color combos right now- Under the Sun and Over the Moon. Between the three of us there is a west side, middle and east side of Richland opportunity to get absolute joy from flowers. I’m literally imploring you to buy flowers for you or someone special’s enjoyment, because there is no opportunity other than a local flower farm to buy something this spectacular! If you’re near Galesburg, Gale Acres has fantastic flowers (and pumpkins) and Stone Rich Farm is near Vicksburg with some stunners as well. These flowers do not ship well and you just won’t see this quality at a big box store.

The season is winding down quickly folks… enjoy them while they last!

It seems like the deer eat everything…. But they DON’T eat hyacinth and daffodils- I have some extra special varieties at the farmstand. Plant now for spring enjoyment.

I woke up on campus (spent the night after an ag alumni meeting) with Liv, had breakfast with Madi at her dorm and now finishing my day at KBS teaching a class. Spartan energy start to finish!

Math was never one of my strong suits, but thinking about the fact that I’m going to be dividing my dahlias which means multiplying the numbers I have…. Makes me happy that I don’t have to think about math very often.

The Green Goddess took her show on the road this weekend to a vintage camper rally. We’ve been a part of the Tin Can Tourist group since 2012. Their fall get together was this weekend at Camp Dearborn. It was so fun to share my flowers with some pretty fabulous friends. The girls even joined us for some camping fun.

While I was away, my extremely talented niece and mother painted some amazing pumpkins. The farmstand couldn’t look any cuter. Stop by and check it out.
