If you’re looking for the cheapest cake you can find, Pies of Amor probably isn’t what you’re looking for.

I bake beautiful, delicious, custom cakes using quality ingredients, and I put time, skill and a whole lot of Amor into every single one. ❤️

I’m incredibly grateful to have customers who understand that… and who come back to me celebration after celebration because they know what they’re going to get every time: quality.

Sometimes that means an elaborate, over-the-top cake.

And sometimes it means a birthday boy who simply says, “I want Funfetti, white buttercream and LOTS AND LOTS of sprinkles, and my favorite color is purple.” 😂🎉

Because THAT’S custom, too. It’s exactly what he wanted for his birthday.

There are compliments… and then there are compliments that just hit a little differently. 🥹💕

One of my customers is an incredibly talented event decorator with the MOST amazing eye for beauty. She creates gorgeous balloon arrangements, florals, backdrops, centerpieces… the kind of details that can take a party from beautiful to absolutely breathtaking.

So the fact that SHE continues to trust ME with the cakes for her daughters’ celebrations?

That makes my little baker heart so incredibly proud. 🥹

Her cakes are always some of my favorites to create, too. Small, intimate cakes… but always feminine, elegant, dainty and just SO pretty. 🎂✨

And this little beauty was no exception.

There’s something really special about having your work appreciated by someone whose creativity and talent YOU admire.

Thank you for continuing to trust me with such a sweet little piece of your beautiful celebrations. 💕

Apparently I accidentally started a golf-themed spelling bee with this cake. 🤣

My customer specifically requested “Luke is FOURTEE” on his cake, so that’s exactly what I gave her.

Then another baker told me, “That’s not how you spell it…. it should be FORETEE.”

Someone else had ANOTHER version.

And I’m over here like…

Seriously?! 😂

It’s a PUN. There is no Webster’s Dictionary of Golf Birthday Puns. 🤣⛳️

FORE. FOUR. TEE. FORTY.

Mix ’em up however you want, the man is STILL 40. 😂

But now I’m curious…

Can we talk about AI cake inspiration photos for a minute?! 😩😂

I’m going to be completely transparent… I struggled with this one.

When a customer sends me an inspiration photo, I genuinely WANT to give them the look they fell in love with. I know some bakers prefer not to recreate another artist’s work… and I completely respect that! But for me, if you’re showing me what you want and trusting me to create it, I’m going to do my best to get you as close to that vision as possible.

Except there was one little problem with this one…

THE INSPIRATION CAKE WAS AI. 😭😂

And apparently AI doesn’t have to worry about color matching OR blending, fresh fruit moisture seepage, or edible images bleeding, or human hands… or REAL LIFE. 🤣

I found myself getting frustrated because my cake wasn’t looking exactly like the picture.

Then I had to remind myself:

I’m a baker.
Not a computer. 😂

I created a REAL cake, with REAL ingredients, that could actually be eaten 🤣 and most importantly, my customer was very happy with it. ❤️🥹

Was it an exact replica of the AI image? No.

Was it a beautiful, delicious outer-space cake made with love for someone’s special celebration?

Absolutely. 🚀🪐✨

And sometimes I need to remember that THAT is what matters most. 💝

Apparently being a custom baker now also requires voice acting experience. 😂🎤🎂

My customer requested a cake inspired by Lizard Lizard Lizard from Toy Story, and naturally I went looking for the perfect audio for the reel…

Disney said: ✨absolutely not✨ 🤣

So what did I do?

Made my own.

LIZARD. LIZARD. LIZARD. 🦎🦎🦎

Listen, I never claimed to be a professional voice actress. I just make the cakes and do what needs to be done around here. 😂💁🏻‍♀️

Apparently today is National Son and Daughter Day, so of course I had to take the opportunity to celebrate two of my greatest blessings. ❤️

And because I’m me… naturally, I’m celebrating them with CAKE. 😂🎂

These are a couple of my favorite birthday cakes I’ve made for my son and my daughter over the last few years. I’ve made hundreds of cakes for other people’s babies, but there’s always something extra special about making one for my own. 🥹

No matter how old they get, they’ll always be my babies—and I’ll probably always be trying to make their birthdays a little sweeter. ❤️

Being their mom will forever be one of the greatest privileges and blessings of my life.

Happy Son & Daughter Day to the two who gave me my favorite title of all: Mom. ❤️

Absolutely NOT. 🤣

Did I immediately go down the rabbit hole trying to figure out how I was going to turn it into a personal cake AND cupcakes?

Absolutely YES. 💅🏽🎂

And LOOK AT HOW THEY CAME OUT!!! 😍🌈

This is exactly why I love custom orders. Sometimes you bring me an idea that has me staring at my phone like, “You want me to make WHAT?!” 😂 And then I get to figure out how to turn that very specific vision into something edible.

The best part? I was told the kids were BLOWN AWAY when they saw them. 🥹❤️

THAT is the part I live for.

So please… keep bringing me your weird, random, obscure, wonderfully specific cake ideas. Apparently I thrive there. 😂
