Our 2026 Mini Lamancha dairy goat kidding is officially underway, with a healthy little doeling from first-freshener Kukaburra! Rose Mary and Meggie are due any time, and as some of our oldest goats, they are seasoned pros.

Also, the last 4 gallons of frozen muscadines from 2025 are looking for a new home, as we make room in the freezer for next month's pig processing. Winter is the best time to make juice and jelly.

Today started with the first goat kid of the season (a little earlier than expected) followed by putting a pig in the freezer. 274 pounds on the hoof and 181 pounds hanging weight. Thankfully we had friends involved in the pig venture this time!
