I want the kind of beauty that reminds my daughter she doesn’t have to erase herself to be worthy.

I just shared a brand new video walking through the herbal skincare routine I use at home, why I stopped chasing perfection, and how I care for my skin naturally without trying to look 20 forever.

Comment VIDEO and I’ll send it to you 🤍

It’s been a hard weekend. 😭

When I started sharing our journey to build a little homestead, I promised I would tell you the truth about all of it - the wins and the losses. So many people get on social media selling a homestead anywhere pipe dream (usually with a course or workshop attached) and they don’t actually tell you what homesteading is like. Truthfully, I think a lot of them don’t know because they’re not actually doing it.

Real homesteading is full of highs and lows. There are peaceful days where life feels like it’s almost too good to be true. Then there are days when your chickens get attacked, the rain barrels go dry, the tomato seedlings cook in a sudden heat wave, you lose a baby goat, or deal with a sick lamb.

There are days we plant flowers and days we bury bodies. This is homesteading. Is it worth it? 100 times yes. I’ll continue and I’ll fall in love with another flock of chickens. But it’s hard. And I’ll always remember the terrible weekend when we lost my little friends.

The things I’m learning in the garden are changing me. I find myself wanting to tell you all of these deeper lessons I’m collecting daily among the tomatoes and beans.

For the last few years, this has mostly been a teaching space… a page where I share garden tips. And that won’t change - I’ll always teach because it’s my heart. But I think the things I teach about are changing. I think as the world changes, it’s more important to talk about the deeper things, the eternal things.

This year, my garden seems to be taking me on a journey that is less about producing food and more about producing fruit - the kind that grows in the heart. I hope you’ll stay with me on this journey! 💛

We are no stranger to heart disease in this house. I’ve spent years learning about cardiology, even buying medical school textbooks at one point and studying surgical techniques. Why? Because the love of my life has heart disease. This matters to me.

For the last year, I’ve worked on studying herbs for Josh to help with managing blood pressure, cholesterol, and rhythm.

So let me introduce my newest tea called “Heart to Heart”. Every ingredient has science-backed peer reviewed studies on how they impact cholesterol, blood pressure, and overall heart function. Dive into the research for yourself and you’ll be amazed.

This new tea blend is minty and slightly tart, full of minerals and supportive benefits for all ages. Enjoy it iced or hot - it’s delicious both ways!

You can order this one online or we offer local porch pickup. Details here: https://grace-walk-farm.myshopify.com/products/steady-heart-tea?variant=52225400701210

Sometimes I imagine what it would have been like to live when He did, to sit and listen to His stories in person. The more I study the Bible and the more I work in my garden, the more I see His deeper stories hidden everywhere. He wrote our redemption even into the plants.

So if your heart is heavy or worried today, consider the wildflowers. And know you are so very loved.

If you’re carrying a heavy load, I’d love to pray for you. Leave your prayer request in the comment section and then stop and pray for a few friends before you go. 💐
