In the next few weeks we will be opening The Fancy Farm Truck to the public! Formerly owned by Mrs. Tia Gainey, this food truck has been open for the past few years taking inspiration from the local restaurant The Farmhouse (where Kayleigh worked her first job as a hostess). This truck and its founders have always had a special place in our hearts. We're very excited to take on the honor of being the new The Fancy Farm Truck owners, and to make it something of our own! I can’t wait to share more with you guys on how this little truck is going to tie into our bed and breakfast!

☀️ June is one of our favorite months of the year! ☀️

We’ll be spending our weekends out in the community, sharing our products, catching up with familiar faces, and meeting new friends along the way.

🌻 6/6 – Come enjoy a fun-filled day of shopping local and celebrating all things summer.
🍃 6/13 – Find us downtown with your favorite handcrafted and homegrown goodies.
🤎 6/21 – Wishing all the dads and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day!
🌞 6/27 – Another chance to stop by, say hello, and support local small businesses.

🏡 Behind the scenes, we’ve also been hard at work on our future Bed & Breakfast! We’re excited about the progress being made and will be announcing a community workday soon for anyone who would like to be part of the journey.

God we’re just greatful for you! Volunteer day was a huge success! We are so incredibly greatful for our friends who came out! We ate lots of good food, sanded EVERY wall, cleaned everything, and left with our hearts full! 🎉This project is massive and once the house is open we’ll be able to welcome everyone in with open arms. 🥰 But, the prep work is critical! We would never be able to open without the help of our friends. We also are also so incredibly thankful for everyone we’ve met along the way!

We kicked off the month strong with an incredible volunteer day—full of fellowship, hard work, and grateful hearts!

Here’s what we have coming up this month:

🌍 May 9th | Multicultural Festival
Downtown Lake City | 9am–4pm
We’ll be there with some market-exclusive goodies you won’t want to miss!

🌿 May 14th | “Backyard Medicine Cabinet” Class
7–8:30pm
Join us for a hands-on class led by RN & herbalist Leslie Skeen—perfect for anyone wanting to turn their backyard into a natural resource!

🎶 May 22nd–24th | Annual Folk Festival @ Stephen Foster
9am–6pm daily
Make a weekend of it! Camp out or grab a day pass and come enjoy the festivities with us.

Last month was a blast!! ☀️

We attended a market every weekend and met so many new faces!
We also had the privilege of launching new products and merch!

April is going to be a month of growth 🩷 With opening day coming up, we have so much to prepare for! Starting in May, we will offer classes! We will host canning, gardening, and “how-to: start your own apothecary” classes—perfect for a beginner or someone with experience! We can’t wait to pour into you!

Also, a special shoutout to our manager, Bailey! She is starting an adventure of her own called The Early Bird Flower Truck! 💐 She has such a cute “build your own” flower truck that would work great for your event! She also offers custom orders with delivery!

Palm Sunday 🌴
Jesus enters Jerusalem as the humble King, welcomed with praise that would soon fade.

Holy Monday ⛪️
Jesus cleanses the temple, restoring it as a place of true worship.

Holy Tuesday ❤️‍🩹
Jesus speaks truth boldly, calling hearts back to what matters.

Holy Wednesday 🤫
Jesus is betrayed in secret, revealing the cost of misplaced trust.

Thursday, The Last Supper 🥖🍷
Jesus serves and loves, sharing His final meal before the cross.

Good Friday ✝️

I always love the Lake City Growers and Makers, but this Saturday, it was extra special! 🥹

We got to see so many sweet faces and welcome our manager, Bailey into an adventure of her own! 🌷Stop by and see her at the early bird flower truck!🌷

There was some amazing worship music, played by our friend Ben! Soon, he will be on the “big stage” at The Salt and Light House, so make sure to give him lots of love!

Also, something very exciting is in store for tomorrow! So keep your eyes peeled!! 🍌
