Appreciation Shadow Box with artifacts dug up near the old phosphate pits on the property (made by Gary J Penta), in lieue of a Charity Hunt for Soldier Freedom Outdoors, held last week at JJ&R Cattle Co. The proceeds were donated to SFO, a wonderful organization that provide nature therapy to active duty and service veterans.

Thank you to all who came out and donated their finds for this shodow box. It really means a lot to us, but mostly grateful that the good LORD allowed us to share the use of our land for this opportunity in saying Thank You to our US Veterans.

Jan 10th and 11th, 2026 - JJ&R Cattle Co is Hosting - The Gainesville Metal Detecting Club. The event is a fundraiser for the High Springs Museum.

On our property, in North Florida, we have Phosphate Pits that were active back in the late 19th and early 20th century. These pits were being mined before World War I and the ground has offered up some amazing finds dating back to that period of time.

If you love treasure hunting and history this is a lot of fun. We can't wait to see and research some of the cool finds.

Oh Happy Day!

The filling of the lick tank equals happy cows. Missing from this photo is the Bull, who came by and went on his merry way in Hot Pursuit of other interests. 😂

Thank you Chiefland Feed Supply and the Purina crew for being so reliable and consistent in meeting our herds nutritional needs.

Thank you Lord for blessing us another year. Praise God!

The long awaited Liberty Calf has dropped, early this morning (still dark out). Finally, born healthy (TYL), Sept 7th- Its another Bull Calf. ♥️

#001 Liberty's Bull Calf! Brahman and Hereford mix.

We had an interrupted breading season last year, due to Hurricane Helene. We were just so thankful that we were spared Storm damage and that everyone was safe, but confirmed by our Vet - it broke up the breading season and the bulls had to go out extra time to take care of business.

Gotta love Florida's Hurricane Season! 🤠

Gladly, everyone else in the herd got bred, but we are running a bit behind. Here we are, on Calf watch again.

So far, its been a bullish year - all Bulls. Not one heifer. Well, lets see what the Good Lord brings in the coming months.
