Winter is when raising cattle requires the most work for us. Making sure they have fresh water, hay, protein and mineral, then in the coldest times…bundling up multiple times a day to break ice, fill waters, drain hoses, etc. But the reward on the other side makes it all worth it. These babies captivate us every year. It never gets old seeing them take their first steps, get that first drink of milk, and start to frolick and explore their new herd. Watching nature work just as God intended always reminds us just how big He is. Endlessly thankfully for the opportunity to live this farm life ❤️
