Border Ridge Homestead I set out on our adventure in 2018. my adventure that i set out on, was to bring heritage animals to our homestead. To raise and grow our own food.

Knowing what we are giving our animals and let them live a good life till we sent them to frezzer camp.

I've had a productive day working outdoors, accomplishing several tasks. Although there's still much to be done, it was a good start. I'd like to share that our apple production is yielding a good harvest, and our elderberry plant is flowering this season. Meanwhile, our sheep are grazing leisurely on the log pile, and the young ones are enjoying our company. The pigs are feeding on the weeds.

Even though it was 65 degrees, the day felt fairly warm. Some lambs located a very nice cool place on the ledge. We got one set of rabbits outside in a new pen. And our meat birds have been outside for a couple of weeks and are growing fast.

We relocated the fence this afternoon prior to the storm's arrival. Darkness fell rapidly. The sheep are now secured in their new area and all animals have been fed. Our next task is to manage the dogs' thunderstorm anxiety.⛈️🐑🐾
