No soup this week due to other commitments, but we are beginning to take orders for Thanksgiving! Orders will be taken through 11/23. Once again we will be offering the well loved Pear & Pecan cheeseball, standard & custom grazing boards. If you’re having overnight guests, pick up some of our frozen scones kits to make for an easy morning breakfast!

A week late and by popular demand next week’s soup is Butternut Squash, served with a Farro Salad. Note that soup day is being changed to WEDNESDAY due to Halloween Thursday. Wednesday 10/30:
🥣 Butternut Squash Soup with Bacon Croutons & Fried Sage
🥗 Farro Salad with Apple Cider Vinaigrette - Farro, arugula & radicchio, honeycrisp apple, dates, toasted walnuts, pecorino

GF Option: No Croutons, Purple rice substituted for farro

✔️ Place a cooler on your porch on delivery day (Wednesday)

This week I am sharing my absolute favorite, Italian Wedding Soup. It’s the soup I always make for others as it just tastes like love. Below is the menu for soup and salad delivery to BackCountry residents for 10/3.

Thursday 10/3:
🥣 Italian Wedding Soup - Chicken meatballs, pasta, spinach and soup vegetables in a homemade broth. (Note: It does have a little wine in the broth, some cooks off - I have fed it to my kids for years)

🥗 Chopped Salad: Romaine Lettuce, salami, chickpeas, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese with a red wine vinaigrette

How it works:
✔️ Order online via link in bio - pre order available until Monday 9/30 at noon
✔️ Place a cooler on your porch on pickup day (Thursday)
✔️ Meal will be delivered between 3:30 - 4:30 and placed in the cooler. Soup will not be hot.

🥣 Zuppa Toscana - Sausage, potato and kale soup in a creamy broth (very slightly spicy)

🥗 Harvest Salad: Spinach and greens, roasted butternut squash, pickled red onion, goat cheese, toasted walnuts, apple chips with a smoked paprika vinaigrette (thanks )

Soup & salad delivery will be offered again to the Backcountry neighborhood for one day next week - Thursday 9/12. We will ease into offering twice a week, once the weather cools down a bit. ….

🥗 Asian cabbage & greens salad: Napa Cabbage, spring greens, mango, wonton strips, cashews & sesame dressing

Box of Love is back to full time hours! We spent a great summer with family in Japan and New York , eating all the food and gathering ideas for future offerings. Thank you for your understanding when we had limited dates available over the last few months.
