Yesterday was a sad day as a hatcher.

I’ve waited a long time to incubate Mille Fleur d’Uccle Bantams. They should have been hatching, but ever did. Upon a chick necropsy with my pal Bryanna's Happy Cluckers, we discovered they didn’t absorb the yolk sac and had a slim chance of making it regardless.

Sometimes these things just happen, and it’s completely out of our control. It wasn’t my fault, but just a risk that you take when you hatch.

Luckily I have a great friend who’s going to hatch a few for me, so I can safely have my babies! Happy Hump Day! ☀️ 🐪

Welcome to the Hen House! 🐓

We’re glad you stopped by. We’re a small family that is loving our little hobby farm. We have a flock of our own, that we love dearly and have worked hard for the last 3 years.

On our homestead we have hens, roosters, ducks and a garden!
