Mamas and babies are happy to be out on pasture!

Turned all of the goats out on their separate pastures today and they were very happy! Another grouping of goats is in a pasture a quarter of a mile away.

At a month old we give the 2nd dose of 2cc of CDT and 1cc of intranasal Inforce 3 vaccine for pneumonia.

Worked 120 head of 1-4 year old does before breeding season for fall kidding. We deworm with copper sulfate and safeguard as well as giving 4 gram copper bolus and annual CDT shot.

Our doe that is raising quads brought them into the barn today for a quick drink of water and to see if we were giving out treats 😆 all her babies are looking healthy and happy!

Feeding bottle kids gets so much easier when they are tall enough to use the milk bar! This milk bar is over 30 years old and still being used each kidding season!

Turned all of the does and babies outside on Monday! At the time we had 5 does left to kid but now we are done; 240 kids out of 102 mamas. It was a long 3 weeks but we survived!

Caught this little guy dreaming! He did this for about a half an hour before he woke up for a snack before his bedtime 😆

Set up creep feeding areas for both groups, first timers and experienced does, kids and the kids are excited to check out their new play area! Some are already nibbling on the complete goat feed from our local Runnings store as well as the alfalfa. Of course, all of their mamas are jealous! 😆

As more does kid and we have to move does and babies from kidding pens to grouping pens, how we arrange the hoop barn changes, sometimes daily! Can’t wait for the snow to pass so we can turn more does and babies outside.
