Mark your Calendars we will be offering over 450 Feb and March calving bred heifers at Lewistown Livestock December 9th at 1 Pm. Lots of F1 baldys. Rest are Black on Black. These girls were made to make $$$. Bred to Arntzen Angus, Hilltop Angus and Stevenson Angus LBW bulls. Would put them up against any set in the state. We started use FerAppease on all the cattle we wean. This set of calves said good by to momma on Tuesday afternoon. Here they are this morning. If you wean cattle it’s a no brainer!!

Well this summer has been one for the books, check book that is!! Transmission in tractor motor in pickup several things on equipment and now this. Just keep smiling!! Frowning hurts to much.

Something to think about. As you drive around look at the places that don’t have any livestock. Some ateas more effected than others. With weather conditions and poor markets for years you had to really love cattle to stay with it.

Ok hear me out. If or when the screwworm gets into the United States why would the markets go down? It has zero risk to humans for consumption and this would slow and lessen the amount of cattle coming through the supply chain and getting to customers.
This isn’t angry bovine or E. coli this is a parasite that literally triesto eat untreated cattle from the inside out when untreated
I know the traders need it to move and anything is better than nothing but it just doesn’t seem to add up.
If a storm went through and took 2% of Iowa s corn crop they would be up up up. I probably don’t have time to rant about why the board and cash are almost 2 seperate things for cattle anymore. Save that for another day.

A few calving pictures. But we have Burger available right as we head into grilling season. We also have the ability to get pre made 1/3 pound patties. Great for large gatherings like wedding receptions or family reunions. Get ahold of Conn Forder and get on the list!!!
