We didn’t even get a chance to post anything yesterday as it was a total (wonderful) whirlwind, but without burying the lede, we took 2nd place overall (out of 20 strong competitors!) at the Bloody Mary judges competition!!! We made a savory Bloody Mary and incorporated our Spicy Celery, Cedar/Cloves, To***co, and Hot Pepper bitters. We also had help from friends who made our vision of a brisket dinner garnish possible (thanks to Bob-Brisket, Brian-Coleslaw, Mac & Cheese, Pickles, and Mauro, Tony, and Bess for prep and service. What a team!!!!) Ryan wouldn’t let go of the trophy for about half an hour grinning ear to ear. And such a special bonus part of this, our friends (and neighbors) at .chicago took first place!!! Congrats to them and what a representation of Chicago at the Highwood event in its 25th year!!
