Born earlier this spring, our eight weanlings—six colts and two fillies—are thriving here on the ranch!

With premium genetics from some of the industry’s top-performing bloodlines, they have the potential to excel both in the arena and on the ranch. They will soon be weaned, marking the next step toward promising careers as performance and ranch horses.

2 cowboys, 4 ranch dogs, and a whole lot of hard work to move 311 bred heifers 6 miles across the Lund Ranch.

Moving cattle isn’t easy work, but with good horses, hard-working cowboys, and dogs that know their job, we get it done.

Our ranch dogs work just as hard as our cowboys — they’re not just along for the ride, they’re an important part of the team.

As of this posting, the Ward Mountain Fire has burned 8,782 acres. With our Forest allotment in the path of the fire, this week has been all hands on deck getting our cattle gathered and out of harm's way.

Saddles were up at 5 a.m., and all 200 head of cow/calf pairs were brought down before the Forest Service shut down access due to safety concerns. In true rural Nevada fashion, our neighbors and friends showed up in force to ride sun up to sun down alongside our cowboys.

We can't say thank you enough to our cowboys, our neighbors, and our friends for helping get these cattle to safety. We also want to thank the firefighters and agency crews still working this fire. We are grateful for all of you!

We had some beautiful evenings putting up hay at the Lund ranch last week! Nevada sunsets do a pretty good job showing off a set of windrows. The cows weren't nearly as impressed with them as we were.

We recently welcomed 4-H Horse Camp participants from Clark County, Lincoln County, and White Pine County for a visit to the ranch. A total of 33 kids joined us to learn, explore, and spend time around the horses.

We’re always happy to support programs that help young riders grow their skills, build confidence, and connect with the ranching and equine community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the visit a success!
