I don’t post much about myself. So I thought I should start.

I have been a bit absent from The Plaid Chicken since my Dad had gone into the hospital over the summer. He passed away in December.

Mom and Dad started making maple syrup when I was a teenager. We had tried several different ways on collecting and boiling down sap. (It is also a reason why I don’t care for pancakes.) Pictured is my Dad feeding the fire while boiling down sap.
