Well, I got to planting and forgot to take any pictures or videos. But here’s a picture of the garlic planted! I have mulched my garlic the last few years with straw, but I’m doing an experiment this year with no mulch because my garlic struggled to come through it this spring. I’ll let you know how no mulch works in the spring..!

Today has been a prep day for planting tomorrow.
‌
I have broken apart all the bulbs to single cloves, prepared my fertilization soak to soak the cloves overnight, and gotten all my planting tools ready!
‌

Those sprouts are just a sign of warmer storage temps, often found in grocery store garlic. The good news? It’s still edible! Some people remove the sprout for a milder flavor, but it’s completely up to you.
