Maplecrest Farms Angus and Sim-Angus seedstock operation that produces genetically superior cattle that also excel phenotypically. The term “form vs. We disagree.

Producing cattle that can perform in any production scenario is what we strive for day in and day out! Keeping it in perspective is, quite possibly, the most important element in the business of raising beef. function” comes to mind as if it’s adversarial—we can’t have one without the other. By keeping it in perspective, we can take advantage of advancing science and technology, use the latest genetic evaluation tools, and produce cattle with form AND function. The result is an Angus or Sim-Angus with inherent profitability throughout the food chain. Our genetics provide options to customers, no matter their needs--improved carcass, more pounds at weaning, increased maternal traits, and heterosis. Our two daughters, Lindsey and Lauren, provide a fresh perspective at MC, which is integral to building a competitive and longstanding seedstock herd. The operation serves as a life teaching center, providing daily challenges and responsibilities and a chance to be successful.
