51 new owners already this year! It continues to be a record breaking year for community members investing in our very own community owned grocery co-op coming soon to Downtown Hillsboro!

It’s a $200 investment to become a lifetime member owner of HFC. Pay all $200 at once or pay $10/month for 20 months.

Today at the market booth two more people joined as HFC Owners and 41 people stopped by to chat! It’s one way that our totally volunteer run (for now) operation is staying engaged with the community as we await for construction to begin. Our lease, in partnership with the experienced grocer, Fresh Foods, is signed for a full-sized grocery store in the new Block 67 development Downtown Hillsboro (where Hank’s Thriftway used to be).

What ideas do you have for more community engagement with our current owners and prospective owners? We held a focus group this summer and will have more in the fall to understand how we can improve. Message us if you’re interested in participating as a focus group volunteer.

We have so much fun being a part of the downtown Hillsboro Saturday Farmers Markets. Stop by our booth to say hi and learn the latest. Not an owner of our coming soon to downtown Hillsboro community grocery store yet? Booth volunteers can sign up new owners up for their $200 one-time share or $10/month for 20 month plan.

Would you like to volunteer at a market or two? We’ll make sure you’re paired up with someone experienced and can come to shadow a market booth date before committing to volunteering at one. We need volunteers from 8:15am - 1:30pm on the following dates. You can start by shadowing half of the booth time if you would like to.
