Meet Amanda, better known around here as Professor Mahj.

She took one mahjong class last summer and never looked back. Now she is bringing the game to Villa Antonio, and we could not be more excited.

If you have been curious but not sure where to start, Mahjong 101 is for you. Amanda walks you through every suit and tile, explains the card, and then gets you into actual game play, all in one session. No experience needed. Her students have ranged from 15 to 85.

Fair warning from Amanda herself: mahjong is a lot like driving. You will not master it in one night, but you will leave knowing enough to keep playing, and that is where the fun begins. Every open play session we have visited is full of laughter, and honestly, that is the whole point.

Thursday evening classes start September 16. We'll also have Friday daytime sessions starting in October with Mahj Podge. Seats are limited and tickets are on sale now at villaantoniow**ery.com

It's 🔥🔥🔥 outside, so we'll be moving our Friday Pour and all of our weekend music inside the cool, air-conditioned space of our Grand Pavilion. Come on out tonight and enjoy live music from Cody Goggin.

You asked for it, so here it is. Mahjong is coming to Villa Antonio this fall.

We surveyed you earlier this year and the response was overwhelming. Lessons topped the list, and a lot of you told us you wanted daytime options. So we built both.

Two instructors. Six sessions. Evenings and daytime.
