The ladies had an excellent day at the Coffee County Fair today!

The best highlight was finishing our first homebred champion when Malarkey took Grand Champion senior doe! This doe has always been so weird but fit me just right! If I were a goat, I would be this one for sure.

We welcomed this sweet girl to Budderball Farms earlier this summer after several years of annoying Devin to let me have her. I really didn’t brag much on her accomplishments though. Mostly because I probably worried too much about 💩 comments people may make or judgements.

That’s not really fair to her though because SG Rockin-CB KVO Maccabee 10*M has been a rockstar producer both in the milk room and as a dam. Earlier this year when ADGA finally published the 2024 Top Ten list, it was official that Mac not only topped the list but she broke the previous all-time milk and butterfat production records. She’s also produced 3 elite daughters at Little Walnut Farm.

This photo of Mac was taken after she stepped off of the transport trailer. She never missed a beat and I have never seen a will to milk like she has. Is she perfect? No. But I would have 100 more just like her because this is the type of doe that raises the bar for dairy animals.

What a great day at the Smoky Mountain Dairy Goat Association Summer Classic!

Budderballs HUO Malarkey 14*M brought home our first homebred Best Doe In show ribbon under judge Erin Griner. She was also Reserve Champion under Karen Smith behind the beautiful Lou Lou! Congratulations to our friends Jessica Clemons for finishing her first girl and also receiving a BDIS ribbon as well as Anamchara Farmstead for their first homebred girl to finish as well!

Anamchara Farm LA Cadenza was Reserve under Greg Murphy.

For our juniors Budderballs LWTR Orca brought home a Grand Champion ribbon and her herd mate Rockin-CB O-Taki brought back a Reserve ribbon!

Thank you to everyone who helped me get girls in the ring and put on another wonderful show!
