A good friend sent me this today. I LOVE savory oatmeal! If you haven't had it yet, you are really missing out. The oats provide the creamy, stick to your ribs base for an endless possibility of flavors. We just use the same portions as oatmeal (roughly 1 part oatmeal to 2 parts liquid) and let our creativity go wild. One of my favorites goes something like this:
Saute any kind of mushroom, as little or as much as you want with light garlic (as to not overwhelm the oats) and salt in butter (of course). When mushrooms are soft add in oatmeal. Stir to combine. Then add in bone broth (we use pork). Cook until oats are tender and liquid is absorbed, about 7-10 minutes. Top with sauteed greens and a fried egg (nice and runny).

But seriously the options are endless. You can mix in pesto, cook the egg in the oatmeal a la shakshuka style. Enjoy!

Our oats are organic and grown without the use of chemical pesticides, no glyphosate.
