Attention cherry tomato lovers!!!!! If you didn’t grow them this year or don’t get enough off your own plants, we’re running an end-of-season cherry tomato sale starting Friday, August 7th and continuing until we’re done for the summer!!!!!! Get those big pots and mason jars out because it’s almost canning time!

We’ll have the Roma Italian plum tomatoes available starting Wednesday, August 12th.

Our pick up schedule will be Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and we’ll have them weekly through mid September. They’re $28 per bushel with a minimum of 50 lbs. per bushel.

Folks are starting to inquire about plum tomatoes for canning this year.

First, they will be a bit later this year as extreme heat stunts their growth and makes blossoms fall off the plants. So we’re thinking the last week of August at the earliest. If they come in earlier, we’ll certainly let you know. They’ll go through the end of September.

Second, price. It’s been many years since we’ve raised our prices, and it’s overdue. Soil, seeds, pots, boxes, labor, and gasoline have all gone up so we’ve decided to finally raise the price to $28 per 50-lb. box (equivalent to 1 and 1/9 bushels). In addition to cash, you will be able to pay via Venmo or Zelle. Details to come when you order.

Third, ordering. I’m now taking orders. Pick up days will only be:

Wednesdays (4 p.m. - 7 p.m.)
Thursdays (4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Fridays (2 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
Saturdays (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! So schedule your pick up plans and sauce making parties around these times.

To order, please text or call me at (908) 963-1603 and leave a voice mail if I don’t answer. I will return your call.

Finally, if anyone wants bushels of eggplants, sweet Italian frying peppers, cherry hot peppers, or red or green bell peppers, give me a heads up and I’ll contact you when they’re in…no prices on them yet.
