Rod Abernethy is an authentic southern folk troubadour, master acoustic guitarist, and award winning songwriter and composer for film, TV and video games. Rod’s awards include Overall Grand Prize Winner of the 2021 International Acoustic Music Awards and the 2019 Grand Prize winner of American Songwriter's Bob Dylan Song Contest. His album Normal Isn’t Normal Anymore received rave reviews from No Depression, American Highways and The Wall Street Journal and was in the Top 20 CD of 2021 at No. 11 on the Folk International Folk Charts.

THIS FRIDAY, June 26th: The Velvet Beat Band live under the rafters at The Bar(n) at Sonark Farms! They're a high energy band blending jump blues, swing, and classic soul and R&B, rooted in the sounds of Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway, and Bull Moose Jackson and reimagined for today’s audiences.
With a tight four piece lineup featuring guitar and vocals, sax, bass, and drums, they deliver a danceable mix of vintage grooves, soulful classics, and select reworked favorites, along with original songs that fit seamlessly into the set.

The Organization plays under the rafters at The Bar(n) at Sonark Farms on Friday, July 31st!
They combine soulful jazz organ vibes with contemporary phrasing, emanating a sonic experience a la Jimmy Smith, Joey Defrancesco, George Colligan and Larry Goldings. The music is an awesome blend of old school jazz/blues roots mixed with modern jazz harmonics, funky rhythms and adept players. The group delivers energetic and authentic performances that continually delve into new musical territory at every show.
