We're cooking our second batch of Sweet Sorghum today. Everyone is invited to stop by and see us cook just like our ancestors did back in the 1800s!

We will be cooking sweet sorghum here on the farm...
We squeezed cane Friday and will start cooking it down Saturday. Should be coming off about 1-2 pm (hopefully)

We have several trailers loaded with stripped sorghum cane. With the Temps dipping to 26 degrees Wednesday night, we hope to consolidate two trailers and put them inside the barn to keep the cane from being damaged from the freezing temp. We will be squeezing the cane Friday afternoon and cooking it off Saturday. We invite all to stop by and experience sorghum syrup (sorghum molasses) being processed just like it was in the 1800's!!
