Freya is responsibly toting around the littlest of our girls, regularly now. In 6 months this horse has made the most miraculous progress. 4 years old and doing what most horses never will!
When I found out I was pregnant, I was nervous about this filly’s progress… I don’t ride while I’m pregnant (after 12 weeks). I had put 3 month’s work into her at the time.
My 9 year old stepped up and took over, and I let her. Since then, these girls have worked through problems (with my guidance) and put more hours and miles on her than I ever could.
I’m impressed to say the least.

A TINY surprise that is bringing us BIG joy!

Brant and I found out we were expecting and we were… in shock ☺️🤣.
“We are done”, “3 kids is perfect” was our plan… but God had different plans for us, and we are beyond grateful!

I am due in January with our fourth child and it’s a BOY 😱!
My girls couldn’t contain their happiness and neither can we any longer, so here is the official “WE ARE PREGNANT AGAIN” post! 🤰🤱

Thank you God for this baby boy!

Just a 9 year old on a 4 year old 🤪… I think the 4 year old is learning to be the mature one 😅.
I’m so proud of both of them, the amount of days they’ve spent together is outweighed by the days they don’t!

Our last 4h show before fair was this past weekend and my girls did a phenomenal job! Here is a tiny showcase of the horses and the girls of Hog Lake Homestead!
The horses who went (Freya, Lacey, Buttercup and Marrvel) really showcased their skills and relationships with their riders! 🥰

On today’s episode of “no, my animal isn’t dead, just sleeping!”
Jager is almost 15 years old and sleeps in awkward positions all over the yard ☺️😂.
He is giving me silent heart attacks everytime I see him 😰. He is sleeping downhill in this photo 🫠.
