Who remembers the filly born from the 'wild' herd of Arabian horses we rescued in 2022?
Back in 2022 we were still rescuing horses and we pulled 4 unhandled mares from a property after the owner had passed.
Just a week after we unloaded them onto our pasture one of the mares (Misty) gave birth to who we now call 'Freya'!
The momma took some time to handle, with hormones and the move she was reluctant to trust but we accomplished it and she was halter broke and handled a lot before she left here. Misty, the momma, is now living her best life with a wonderful couple.
Freya was originally adopted out by a now good friend of mine who put countless hours of love, handling and ground work on her. She brought her back to us this winter and we have completely fallen in love with her. Freya had some saddle training before coming here this winter and after I put about 3 months of saddle time on her myself, I decided my eldest could help me with her and l've been so impressed!
(Yes, that red baby and the grey horse are the same horse! She has greyed a lot in the past 4 years &)
🔥Riding videos of Freya and my 9 year old daughter in comments. Freya is still green, and my child is no professional, but they look great together!👏
