A LITTLE REAL TALK FROM A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER ❤️
When a hurricane is coming, we all go into preparation mode.
We stock up, fill our tanks, buy what our families need, and prepare our homes.
But there’s another side of hurricane prep that doesn’t get talked about much:
What happens to small businesses?
When we close our doors, we don’t just lose a day. We lose the revenue that pays our team, supports local farmers, and keeps fresh food moving through our community.
And when you work with fresh produce, closing unexpectedly can also mean watching food go to waste.
We know we’re not alone. So many small businesses in our community are carrying this same weight.
Behind every shop, restaurant, farm, salon, and service are real people trying to make it work.
This last year has been hard.
We don’t share this for sympathy. We share it because sometimes people simply don’t know what they don’t see.
So when you have the choice, please remember the small local businesses in your community.
That $20 purchase could help a local farmer, an employee, or a small business owner keep going.
When you support local, your money keeps moving through the community.
And right now, our little community needs that more than ever. 🌺
Thank you for choosing local and helping us keep going. ❤️☀️
