Went out to collect eggs when I got home from work yesterday and couldn’t believe my eyes! We’ve been getting around 24 eggs a day for several months now. Well yesterday, we hit a new record of 37! So in love with our girls!

That moment when you’re working on the lighting in the chicken coop and amidst all that is around you, you find you’re husband has left sweet nothings on top of the chicken nests.

Got quite the chuckle Wednesday morning! We moved the girls to their permanent coop Sunday night and we kept them in there until Wednesday to allow them time to adjust. They all rushed the door until they saw the white stuff on the ground. Lol!

We couldn’t possibly keep up with all the cherry tomatoes our garden produced. Even with the chickens helping us eating them. We decided to try making sun dried tomatoes. They turned out soo good and now we can enjoy our tomatoes for longer! 🍅

Been getting close to 2 dozen pullet eggs a day. We’ve been trying to come up with ways to use them since they’re so small. Today we boiled 4 dozen of them and pickled them using a balsamic vinegar brine. Yum!
