We delight in the weird plants. In order of appearance:

Cornelius the corn, who lives with the peppers.
Intrepid lettuce busting through holes in the plastic.
A cat napping among the tomatoes.
The cover crop growing inside of the farm truck.

Visit the farmstand for veggies with personality.

The farmstand wants to overflow, y'all.

VT's relatively cold climate poses a lot of challenges for farmers. The coming cold makes it easy to forget that the turn toward fall is still a time of intense bounty here. We've got so many amazing veggies and farmstand partner businesses, we couldn't possibly mention them all in one post, so here are just a few:

Beautiful bouquets from Betsy of Rock Meadow Farm.
A Special Strawberry Sizzle from Last Resort Farm.
Incredible Italian Herb & Cheese Sourdough from The Cozy Oven Bakery
Plus: Cucumber samples!!!

How do you grow a pre-pickled pepper?

While we consider ourselves proficient pepper pickers, we find Peter Piper's proposition (picking a peck of pickled peppers) positively preposterous.

Our peppers are very fresh, not pickled. Come get some at the farmstand :)

"Eek!" That's the sound you make when you open a tote of lettuce and a frog jumps out right at you! All of our lettuce is rinsed three times to make sure we get all the cute critters out before we send it home with you!
