The biggest event of the year happened here on the homestead! We had our first calf! Boots blessed us with a baby heifer. She's half highland and not related to Thor so she gets to live her life out here on the homestead with her mom, Daisy. And now we have milk! I've been waiting for this since I bought 2 auction calves on a whim almost 4 years ago.

Well, I'm glad yesterday is over. We let Thor out of the trailer for him to decide to go home. Right under my fence and he took off. Thankfully I was able to get ahold of Tim Carnes and he came with his fiancée, dog, and horses to come get him back. They did an amazing job and I recommend their services to anyone who needs them. Awesome job!

Long trip yesterday, but we have a new additon!! Meet Hafpor(Thor), our new registered highland bull. We are now officially in the American Highland Cattle Association and hopefully soon we will be adding some registered girls for him.
