Boys will be boys! Watched these two have some fun and push and shove each other all over the hillside.

Why watch the morning news when you can have coffee with this herd!

Check out this bull's split horn. Mature male bison go through a natural sheathing process where the tips of the horns regularly become blunted and shredded. This typically happens around 7 to 8 years of age for bison. This guy is only 4 to 5 years old. As new horn layers grow from the base, it forces its way up piercing and rupturing through the older, brittle layers of the outer sheath at the tip, causing it to splinter and shred. Violent rubbing scraping and rutting activities can also cause shredding.

While everyone else is busy getting their senior and 'first day' pictures taken, Bruce had his own private photo shoot with longtime friend and wildlife photographer Dan Jordan. Thanks Dan for making Bruce look even more adorable than he already is. Hope you enjoyed spending the afternoon with Bruce.

Fall is near and the calves are starting to change color. The darker calf was one of the first calves born this year in April. Notice how dark it is. The calf will remain this color for the rest of its' life. The lighter, reddish brown one, was one of the last calves born.

Single male bison calf seeking female companionship.
About me:
Name: Bruce
Age: 4 months
Background: Orphaned at birth

Current status: Bottle fed but transitioning to grazing on native grasses.
Physical features: Good looking. Athletic. Strong. Affectionate.

I lost my mom shortly after birth. Immediately adopted by two very loving human families and their large herd of friends who have spoiled me every day since. Searching for female bison calf to spend time with as the days get shorter, temps get cooler and school and sport activities start for my human companions.

In the process of transitioning to 100% pasture fed. Lacking in social skills with other bison. Require female to teach me how to be a real bison calf and develop that herd mentality.

Preferences: Nice looking female bison calf. 4 – 5 months old. Healthy. Good disposition. Purebred. Fully weaned. Ability to tolerate some human interaction is a priority. Must be willing to relocate. Can offer spacious pastures, stunning sunrises and sunsets and amazing views with babbling brooks. Plenty of room to roam, graze and start a herd of our own together.
Serious inquiries only.

Things are starting to heat up a little bit on the farm. And we're not not just talking temperature and heat index.
