We are not Lunar New Year experts. We are, however, experts at being hungry and curious.

So this year we made scallion pancakes from scratch! Crispy outside. Chewy inside. Dunked in the easiest dipping sauce known to humankind.

Here’s the dough if you want in:

2½ cups flour
¾ cup warm water
1 tsp salt

Mix. Knead 6–8 minutes.
Rest 45 minutes (patience is annoying but necessary).
Roll out. Pan fry. Try not to eat them straight from the skillet.

We love using food as a way to learn, celebrate, and try something new in our own kitchen. Curiosity tastes good.
