**SNAP Benefit Fund Update**

Back in November, we asked for help within our community to support those who may need it during the government shutdown. The outpouring of kindness was overwhelmingly amazing! Grey Duck was able to help three families with groceries during the shutdown, but we still had funds leftover to help elsewhere.

Some of you may have seen decorated jars around town for the Community Christmas Wish Tree, a volunteer committee working together to bring Christmas to kids needing extra support. Grey Duck was happy to help kick start this program by donating a large portion of the benefit fund.

With the help of volunteers and one local deputy, the committee successfully delivered Christmas to the family on December 23rd. Each child received a winter coat, snow pants, hats, gloves, boots, clothes and one age appropriate toy. They were also supplied with an abundance of pantry items like breakfast foods and snacks.

Thank you to each person who donated, we appreciate you so much! The Community Christmas Wish Tree will continue for as many years possible, to help a family make Christmas as magical as it should be.
