Welp, Iโm home. I am alive (iykyk). Itโs been a pretty intense 4 weeks. To those of you that helped, reached out, caredโฆ. thank you from my heart. I may not have gotten back to a lot of you because I didnโt have my cell at all and extremely limited phone access in general. I will try to catch up slowly.
The journey ahead doesnโt look any less treacherous at this point, but I will get keep going, even if I have to start again.
I will deleting all social media apps from my phone including messengers, so please text my personal number if youโd like to get in touch. I will hop online every now and then for an update or to check for messages from people without my number (message me if youโd like it), but I really did not miss the online world or even my phone at all during this time. (Sorry friends ilu. ha)
Did you know there are thousands of psychiatric hospitals, facilities, and individual units across the United States, but less than five who are equipped to treat the nuanced, highly specialized needs of survivors with Complex PTSD and Dissociative Disorders? Less than 5.
Just imagine needing a higher level of care than just once a week therapy sessions, but in the entire country - 50 states- there are only five hospitals available to turn to. Complex PTSD is not rare. Dissociative disorders are not rare. What is rare is finding a team with the knowledge to give you an accurate diagnosis and to recommend the most ideal treatment modalities.
This is some thing that is very near and dear to my heart overall, but it has even more meaning now. Please consider checking out this page and donating to the nonprofit or even just spreading the word if you are able. .
We cannot continue to break generational cycles and curses if we do not have the support or even a broad enough knowledge base available.
