There will always be someone talking behind your back.
Just focus on your work.
There will always be people using you and then cutting ties.
Focus on your work.
There will always be someone telling you your birds are pos and not sop.
Just keep loving on your birds.
There will always be someone trying their absof**kinglutely best to rob you of the joy these birds bring you and make you give up.
Block. Delete. Water under the bridge, sister.

It's not just silkies. It's everywhere people are involved. There will always be someone forgetting not to stick their nose in your underpants, because that is NOT their business. Forgetting what Momma taught them, if you have nothing good to say, just move on. Not everyone needs 'constructive' criticism. Sometime people just need to be able to post their lovely feathered friends without fear some as***le will come around and start showing off their PhD degree and tearing the poor bird apart.

Just keep loving on your birds, pos or sop, it's no one's business what's going on in your barn unless they pay for your feed, medicine, cleaning supplies, incubating supplies, time spent caring for said birds.

I will forever remind y'all, because it's MY page and I do what I want.
Chickens are SO much fun, at the core of it all. Beyond the genetic curveballs they throw at us, the many years we spend in a project, chickens are FUN. Loveable. More than a pawn in a big cull or keep game. Feel welcome to SHOW THEM THE F OFF and happily block anyone putting them down.

But worry not !! for each unsung warrior of the keyboard, there are at least 20 mentally stable folk who will stand by you and the allegedly Misfit chickens.

Have a great weekend ahead.
***Just a pair of misfits for sure. These Mottled project birds are putting the Silkie breed to shame somehow, I hear :D

I'll have some chicks at the beginning of September if anyone is looking or will be looking.

I personally like raising babies during the cold months so much less parasite issues.
