There is an ongoing debate in our house about when chili is appropriate.

Brian: any day that ends in Y
Susan: under 65 degrees F

I decided that Saturday is just going to be too hot for our annual chili sampling. We will postpone to a later, and much cooler day!!

But tomorrow we will still have:
*Colt45 sheep milk soap
*Pear Honey Butter
*Kieffer pears
*the first wave of our 2026 goat milk soap fall fragrances
*ground mutton on sale

So please brave the heat, and head to the Hardin County Farmers' Market tomorrow from 8-12! 🐑🍐🧼

It’s pear honey butter day!!! Right behind the return of pumpkin spice lattes, this yearly collaboration signals the start of fall for me 🍁

Two 5 gallon buckets of freshly picked pears +
almost 3 hours of peeling and chopping with Sara in the Goodin's Garden canning kitchen to yield 18 pounds of pears that are now happily bubbling away to make the most delicious treat 😋

This week we found some * incredibly * unwelcome guests hanging out by the bunnies.

After we were both stung several times, Brian (with his bee suit and some extra layers underneath, just in case) managed to locate this gigantic yellow jacket nest which was built inside the blankets we use for winter cage covers,
