Ive been hearing rumors that I use Lye in my washed corn, I don't. My grandfather used ashes, my father used ashes, and I have ALWAYS used Ashes to wash my corn. I have taught classes for programs in this community and have used only ashes.I also have videos on this Facebook that shows me boiling and cooking the corn in ashes. My family has only ever used Hard wood ashes from our own wood stoves Thank you for your time.
