Dr. Evan Molyneaux moved to Hogansville from New York after WW2 in 1946, to start a medical practice. He purchased the first parcels of property that would become Flat Creek Ranch shortly afterwards. He was a doctor in Troup County for over 50 years before his death in 2000.

Horses have always been a major part of the ranch. For 33 years, United States Combined Training Association (USCTA, now the USEA) events were hosted on the ranch. In that time, several past and future Olympians showed and trained at Flat Creek. The Ranch held its last USEA event in 2007. In 2012 we started hosting obstacle trail competitions. Three years ago we became a founding member of the SEATS, South Eastern Arena and Trail, series. (http://seatseries.com/.)

Joan Molyneaux Keegan has been teaching lessons to children and adults, age 4 and up, since 1980. Many of today’s students are the children of past students. She has four school horses that can suit most levels, from just starting beginners to second level dressage, obstacle trail, and jumping.
