We are incredibly grateful to the team at ARG Outdoor Services for their amazing work clearing our land. Because of their hard work, we finally have this breathtaking view for our upcoming wellness and therapy programs!

Hi friends! We're James and Sarah (Doc) Nunley. We are Army veterans, James a retired law enforcement officer of 30 years and Sarah a trauma psychologist with specializations in veterans and first responders, amongst others. We have a 40-acre farm featuring over 90 animal souls that share a therapeutic part in farm operations. We are featuring a soft opening soon for our community of first responders including law enforcement, fire, emt, military and veterans of all eras and medical field practitioners. Comment here or send us a private message to reserve your spot now. Details to follow in the next week.

There’s something powerful about healing alongside an animal.

Animal-assisted wellness and therapy sessions can create a safe, encouraging environment where people can:

✨ Reduce stress and anxiety
✨ Build confidence and trust
✨ Practice emotional regulation
✨ Strengthen communication and connection
✨ Improve focus, engagement, and self-awareness
✨ Experience the calming power of simply being present

Animals meet us where we are—with patience, acceptance, and no judgment.

Whether someone is working through challenges, building new skills, or simply looking for a place to breathe and reconnect, the human-animal bond can be a powerful part of the journey.

Healing doesn't always look the way we expect. Sometimes, it has four legs and a gentle nudge.

🦆 We've all heard about getting your ducks in a row, but have you ever seen someone get their goats in a row??🐐

Getting the ducks, chickens, goats, horses, pigs.. okay well aside from the goats, they won't quite be lining up, but our PLANS sure are! 😉

We are working hard to prepare the property for our 🎉GRAND🎉 opening.

🌻We can't wait to launch our soft opening events so stay tuned. 🌻

🌿 WHY NUNLEY FAMILY FARM? 🌿

As military veterans and members of the law enforcement community, we understand the importance of creating a place where those who serve can step away, reconnect, and find restoration.

❤️But our mission doesn't stop there.

Nunley Family Farm is also being created for our local Hohenwald COMMUNITY members — a place where everyone can experience the connection, peace, and joy that can come from time spent with animals and in nature.

At the heart of everything we do are four simple values:
**FAITH | HONOR | SERVICE | RESTORATION**

This isn't just about building a farm.

It's about building a place where connection can happen.
A place to breathe.
A place to gather.
A place to heal, grow, and reconnect.

🌱 And we're just getting started.🌱

Ohhh, you know.. Just another day on the farm! 🤠

Farm animal confession:
"She had the hat. I saw the hat. I wanted the hat. Naturally, I took the hat."

Horses have a way of making us present and bringing us into each moment. Especially the funny ones. 😂

We can't wait to share more of these little moments with you. In the meantime.. WHAT is the funniest thing your horse has done? We want to share the laughter! 😉
