☀️ MARKET CLOSED THIS WEEK DUE TO HEAT ADVISORY ☀️

Due to the high temperatures, dangerous heat index, and heat advisory, the Hohenwald Farmers Market will be CLOSED Thursday, September 3rd and Saturday, September 5th.

♡The safety of our vendors, customers, and community has to come first, and with the temperatures expected this week, we feel closing the market is the best decision.

🌿 Our Foraging Class with Jennifer from Bad Kitty Farms, originally planned for this weekend, will also be postponed until Saturday, September 12th.
And September 12th is shaping up to be a fun market! We’ll have both a Sourdough Class AND a Foraging Class happening that day. 🍞🌿

We’ll be sharing more information about both classes soon, so keep an eye on our page and interact with our posts so you don’t miss the updates!

Please help us spread the word about this week’s closure, stay cool, and stay safe. We’ll see everyone back at the market next weekend! ❤️

Just a reminder - we are still having our Thursday Farmers Market this week! 🌿

Even with all the excitement surrounding South Central Area Fair Ag Day this weekend, we’ll still be set up and ready to see everyone this Thursday from 3–6 PM.

Come out, shop local, support our farmers, bakers, makers, and small businesses, and grab some goodies before the busy weekend begins!

🍎 Learn how to can the Best Apple Pie filling! ❤️

Have you ever wanted to learn more about food preservation or feel more confident preserving food at home? Pretty & Preserving is presenting an Apple Pie Filling Food Preservation Class, and the whole community is invited!

📅 Friday, September 4th
⏰ 9:30 AM
📍 Lewis County Senior Center
💲 Cost: $10 and includes a jar of filling for you to take home!

This class is open to anyone in the community who would like to attend and learn more about food preservation.

The $10 class fee can be paid the day of the class, but you MUST reserve your spot ahead of time because space is limited.

📣 VENDORS WANTED FOR AG DAY! 🌾

Want to get your products in front of a BIG crowd? Ag Day at the South Central Area Fair is happening this Saturday, August 29th, and the Hohenwald Farmers Market still has a limited number of FREE vendor spots available!

This is going to be a HUGE day for our community with activities happening throughout the grounds, including:

🐴 2nd Annual Mule Pull
🔥 Smokin’ Up the City BBQ Cook-Off
🥞 Pancake Breakfast
🚜 Agricultural & homesteading exhibits and demonstrations
🌾 Farmers Market vendors
🍴 Food, activities & so much more!

The event begins at 8:00 AM, and vendors are welcome to stay and sell for as long as they would like throughout the day.

If you sell it, grow it, bake it, make it, raise it, or create it, this is a great opportunity to set up and be part of a fun, family-friendly event celebrating agriculture and our local community.

Thursday’s Golden Ticket Market was such a fun evening, and we’re doing it all again this Saturday at the Hohenwald Farmers Market!

Come hungry, bring your shopping bags, and keep your eyes open for those GOLDEN TICKETS! 👀✨ Participating vendors will have a limited number to hand out with purchases ☆ scratch yours to see if you’ve won a prize! Tickets are limited, so you never know when you might find one!

They'll be there this Saturday!

Hello Clifton, Tennessee (and surrounding areas)! I hope everyone there likes Italian food! For those of you who don't know us, we specialize in making Italian dishes with recipes that have been passed along through several generations. Nonna Lisa's "Gran Mama" is credited with our Sunday "Gravy" that we're proud to say that many of our friends have found - and love! We are from Hohenwald and have had most of our markets there with some in Waynesboro, as well as a couple of other events in Southern Middle Tennessee.
We look forward to meeting y'all at the Market on Main! Please stop by for our marinara, "gravy," and we'll have several types of bread which Nonna Lisa is baking as I write this, along with a couple of sweet treats!
Best of all, we always have samples for you to "try before you buy!" Don't be shy, have a second if you'd like! Tried it somewhere else before? Who cares? Come get another! Mangia!

Hey, Hohenwald! After losing last weekend to that scorching heat, we're coming back this week! We will be at the Hohenwald Farmers Market Saturday from 10 - 2!
It's going to be a busy weekend as Nonna Lisa is already preparing to make fresh bread late Friday for the Saturday Market. We plan to be well stocked for both events this weekend.
