💜 NEW THIS WEEKEND — Lavender-Infused White Balsamic Vinegar!

We’re excited to release a small batch of our Lavender-Infused White Balsamic Vinegar this weekend during the Lewis County Farmstand Crawl!

Light, slightly sweet, and tangy with a delicate lavender finish, this vinegar is infused with culinary lavender grown right here on the farm.

It’s wonderful drizzled over fresh berries, peaches, salads, or roasted vegetables; paired with olive oil for a simple vinaigrette or bread dipper; or used to add a little something special to marinades and glazes.

We’ll have a small quantity available this weekend and are excited to finally share it with you! The first bottle is being sent out this morning (you know who you are!).

We're excited to have a selection of our lavender products available at The Meriwether Market, right here in Hohenwald.

Think your pumpkin or apple dessert has what it takes?

The Great Pumpkin & Apple Bake-Off is returning to our Harvest Festival at Oak Grove Lavender!

Bring your best homemade fall dessert and put it to the test. Entries must feature pumpkin OR apple, and we'll have separate categories for each.

And this year, we're adding a little something new to the judging! We'll be inviting a local community judge AND choosing two festival attendees to join the judging panel. So even if you're not entering the Bake-Off, you may just get the chance to help choose the winners!

🍂 Our Harvest Festival is coming together, and we can't wait! 🍂

The vendors are confirmed, the musicians are set, and plenty of local eats will be waiting for you!

We're also bringing back The Great Pumpkin & Apple Bake-Off, complete with local judges—and one of them could be YOU!

We're excited to welcome back Braise Killen Music and Napier City Limits Band for live music during the day.

And don't forget the Dog Costume Contest, sponsored by High Forest Humane Society. Get those costumes ready! Cooper is already working on his!

Our event schedule is included, so you can start planning your day. Come shop local artisans, grab something delicious to eat, enjoy live music, and spend a beautiful fall day with us at the farm.

Lavender Field Update! 💜🌱

As many of you know, one of our fields was hit pretty hard by the ice storm. Of the 850 lavender plants we planted, only about 40 survived. It was tough, but we chose to view it as an opportunity.

We’re happy to report that the field is thriving! We now have five cultivars in the ground, and we just harvested one of our culinary lavenders. Yay! 💜

We’ve also spent the last month and a half giving some much-needed attention to our front field—the one we primarily use for u-pick. It was affected by the ice storm as well. The plants received a nice “haircut,” and we replanted about 200 lavender plants to replace the ones we removed.

There’s still plenty happening around the farm, and we’ll share more about Fields 3–5 when they’re done. 🌿💜

About two weeks ago, I walked out to the peafowl area and heard a familiar mama bird “cooing”. It’s that the soft, gentle sound mother birds make when they’re “talking” to their babies, much like a hen does with her chicks. The peahens had been sitting on their eggs together, but we weren’t sure if any would hatch.

As I watched, a tiny peachick suddenly peeked out from beneath one of the moms. Then, just a few seconds later, a second little head appeared from under the other. It was such a sweet surprise!

Nicki and Pearl are sharing parenting duties, with Aunt Squiggly lending a helping “wing” and Dad Luis keeping a close watch over his growing family.

The weather has been warm, and these little peachicks have been thriving. We’ll wait until they’re a bit older and we can tell them apart before choosing names. Until then, we’ll simply enjoy watching them grow, explore the world, and learn from their devoted mamas. 💙💚
