Today is the day to see what Alabama youth involved in agriculture are about. They learn these passions at such a young age and many go on to make contributions to Agriculture in many ways throughout their lifetime. The Alabama Junior Lamb Board will be present and in full force to inform the public about the industry and let others experience this great thing we’ve all grown to love. Come out for this inaugural event next to the city pool and see for yourself. Thank you to all our sponsors and the City of Hokes Bluff for making this possible. Event is free!

Beginner Premier Exhibitor winners in the Youth Sheep Show at the Alabama National Fair Oct. 15 in Montgomery were, from left, Easton Elrod of Cullman County, grand champion; Cohen Hill of Etowah County, reserve champion; Jaxon Stephens of Talladega County; third place; Haddy Rasco of Cullman County, fourth place; and Palmer Mitchell of Montgomery County, fifth place. Beginner Premier Exhibitor is for exhibitors ages 4-8 and consists of showmanship, livestock evaluation and a written test. Alabama Farmers Federation and Alfa Insurance sponsored youth livestock events at the fair.
