So, we have log raised shiitake when in season which is spring through fall. We also have various oysters, lions mane and others year round. Some oysters and lions mane are log raised in season as well. Who would like to see a stocked cooler of mushrooms and tinctures in Holden? We are considering an expansion.

Just restocked at Pleasant Ridge Farms in Pleasant Hill. For our Farmers Market Pleasant Hill MO customers she is open from 9:00 to 4:00 Friday and Saturday every week. There is beef, pork, eggs, bread, butter even Skyline coffee.

Heading to Pleasant Ridge Farms in the morning with more log raised shiitake, some lions mane and you guessed it, chicken of the woods!! Should be there between 9:00 and 9:30.

What a weekend. This is not our usual cultivation post here. Finally took a couple hours to go foraging and just be out in nature without a care in the world of work, phone calls or the hustle of life. Harvested part of the chicken of the woods I’ve been watching. Found some hen of the woods, some nice turkey tail, and some more chicken of the woods. No pictures yet but I also found a bunch of bolets as well that should be ready soon.

Winner winner chicken dinner!! This is the clone from the chicken of the woods on the stump. It is fruiting indoors as they say is near impossible. Doing the impossible is possible if you try.
