Sheep Shearing Day! It really went smoothly because we hired someone! Dan Smith is an excellent shearer. The Jacob sheep didn't particularly like being manhandled for their haircuts but they sure look nice and will be much cooler for the summer!

Today is the day we made the heartbreaking decision to help our Meadow cross the rainbow bridge. Just like her mother, Skye, she was the best guardian for our animals, best doggy, and our best friend. We take comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain from her bone cancer and she's hanging out with her mommy and sister, Winnie. We love you, Meadow. This is just goodbye for now.

A big thank you to all our friends and family who have offered so many comforting words and hugs as we have dealt with her illness the past few months.

Our last emu egg hatched! Look at how much bigger the other two are at just a week older. And the p**p! Oh my so much p**p but that's a good indication they are eating well. I clean as often as I can but 5 minutes later it looks the same. Oh well! They are healthy and growing!
