Shearing went perfectly today here on Spinning Sheep Fiber Farm. Mother Nature gave us warm sun and no rain. Brian Dreffs of Dreffs Family Farm, along with his son, did an outstanding job on our 47 Finnsheep. The volunteer crew brought many hands, as well as their happy spirits. There were rotating wranglers who moved the sheep seamlessly from barn to shearing board and back. The amazing fleece skirting team made sure all the icky bits were off the fleeces before rolling them up and labeling them, making it so much easier to do the heavy skirting later. And they brought tasty baked goods to keep us all energized! Thanks for the pictures, Patti Combs . I didn't manage to take any. So thanks to all who came out!
