Commercial and Gelbvieh Influenced Cow-Calf Operation. Gelbvieh and Balancer Registered Bulls, Cows and Heifers. Specializing in replacement heifers and 2014 participants in the Missouri Show Me Select Heifer Sale. We practice low stress handling and raise only the most docile animals. We claim to be the "Home of the Happy Heifers", and our motto and business plan is provide the best and most humane handling practices available to our herd while they are in our care. We have begun raising replacement bulls, and they are every bit as happy as our heifers. Come watch them dance. All of our animals are easy to handle, used to low stress handling, rotational grazing and hot wired trained. We develop for slow natural growth and do not push for gains that can bring unwelcomed side effects. Please see us for your seedstock needs. Some of our best customers are commercial cowmen and women who appreciate the docility of our animals and the benefits of the Gelbvieh breed on their herds. We sell bulls by private treaty and heifers are offered at bi-annual Missouri Show-Me Select Heifer Sales at Kingsville, MO in May and November each year. Strict criteria is required to participate in this state sponsored sale.
We offer beef that you can be certain to be hormone free and antibiotic free, raised in the most loving environment, and grain fed to finish out a wonderful taste and finest beef. We sell by the 1/2 or 1/4 beef, by reservation only, guaranteeing you to select your personal cuts and packaging. Email for more details. We want to pass our land to our children and grandchildren and try to be good stewards of the land. Our farm also produces corn and soybeans. We practice rotational grazing and use a variety of legumes in our fescue pastures which eliminates the need for additional fertilizers and inputs and helps eliminate problems of fescue only pastures. We've worked with the NRCS for land plans to help erosion and with water needs through deep wells and subdivided pastures to maximize grass productivity. Our goal is to share the farm experience with others. Come feed a calf and pet the bull or heifer you can add to your herd. Our bovines are raised with love. Come feed the catfish and look for deer, watch the raccoons, cats, ground hogs and a variety of birds and enjoy a day in the country. We may be the last of a generation of rural small farmers in America. God Bless Farmers!
