Yesterday we honored the challenge.
Today we focused on recovery.

A little rowing, some sit-ups, blood flow, movement, and getting the body moving again after Murph. Recovery days matter just as much as the hard days.

When soreness kicks in, the answer usually isn’t doing nothing. Smart movement helps reduce stiffness, improve circulation, speed recovery, and get you feeling better faster.

You don’t always need to go hard.
You just need to keep moving.

Today we’re working on threshold.

Our 20-minute Bike or Row Test is all about finding that pace you can push hard and hold steady. Not an all-out sprint, and not a comfortable cruise, just that challenging pace where your breathing is working and your mind has to stay locked in.

The goal: hold your best sustainable effort for all 20 minutes.

Why this matters ⬇️
Threshold training raises the ceiling on everything else you do:
• Longer workouts feel more manageable
• You recover faster between sets and intervals
• You can push harder without redlining early
• Your pacing improves across all workouts

Start controlled, stay consistent, and fight the urge to fade when it gets uncomfortable. This is where real progress happens.

Built a little Ninja Warrior vibe into today’s kids workout.

Teams put in work with push press and box jumps while slowly building out their own obstacle course piece by piece. Every round earned them time to test it out. Balance, grip, coordination, and a little courage all in play.

Nothing better than finishing a tough workout and then getting to compete, play, and challenge yourself in a whole different way.

Left a few boxes out this morning and suddenly it looked like we were setting up for an obstacle course instead of class. Honestly, not a bad idea 😅

Fitness doesn’t have to be boring - it can be fun, creative, and feel a little like recess again. Might have to make this a regular thing 💪🔥

But, I scaled… scaling isn’t something you apologize for, it’s how you train with purpose. It means you chose the right weight, the right movement, and the right intensity for you.

That’s not doing less, that’s training smarter.
