šŸ¤ŽPosting this as a last chance before the sale barn on Friday! 🧔

Heifer & steer duo. Beautiful heifer and built right steer.

Heifer is dunn— super sweet and gentle. 10 months old. Really small framed & nice hair in the winter! Eats from the hand and likes the brush.

Steer is yellow— really cute looking guy! 9 months old. He is not gentle currently but if requested I’m happy to work with him before leaving. If not purchased he’s going to the sale barn Friday with the Angus calves.

I’ll make a good deal on these two. Can leave whenever depending on how gentle you want the steer. Perfect pasture pets!!

Message me for info. Located in Holdrege, Ne.

Highlands on summer pasture is one of my favorite sightsšŸ’›

SO thankful for the rain that greened up this pasture so we could finally bring some cows down! Some more Highlands & the Angus embryo mamas will join them this week!

It’s officially been one week since Scout’s procedure that saved his life!šŸ¤Ž

It’s been a MUCH more relaxing week taking care of Scout and making sure he’s healing correctly. So far everything looks great and he’s staying clear of infection!

For those of you with Highlands, you know how these calves can quickly become more than an animal, more like a family member or pet.

After Scout lost his mom in February, I was heartbroken— not only that we lost her, but because he was now without a mom. It was such a helpless feeling and I knew all I could do was love on him as much as possible. I spent hours each day out there with him and we quickly became bonded.

When he got this sick, I couldn’t believe it. I again felt helpless and like nothing we were trying was going to save him, and losing him truly felt impossible. But we both pushed through and didn’t give up!

I don’t believe Scout will ever leave our place, but if he does, it will be to a really special home.šŸ¤Ž

These two beautiful AHCA registered heifers are availablešŸ¤ŽšŸ’›

Sazzy— yellow heifer. Born on 1/20/26. She is the sweetest little ā€œteddy bearā€ looking heifer. Her small framed build & hair is incredible. She will be weaned within the next month!

Sage— dunn heifer. Born on 3/9/26. Her color is my favorite, constantly changing! She is such a curious and sweet little heifer always coming to say hello! She will be weaned within the next 2 months.

Both calves are sired by webbcattlecohighlands Longmire. Both dams are in the comments.

Whether you’re starting your registered herd or adding on, these girls would be incredible additions. Good bloodlines and good builds, doesn’t get better!

Would LOVE if these two could find a home together, they are attached at the hip!šŸ˜Both calves will be started on the halter before leaving. Message me if interested!

ā€¼ļøWarning, long video! ā€¼ļø

I’ve had quite a few comments & messages asking to share about Scout’s procedure. Here’s everything he endured this past week as well as details about the surgery he had.

Thank you all for your kind words, prayers, and comments. They have meant so much to us!

We’ve been home for a few hours now and Scout is acting like him old self! This is such a relieving feeling.

His procedure went smoothly and he’s got his appetite back. His friend Goldie was happy to see him too.

As you can see, he’s back to being goofy, tonight by standing on the hay bale😜

Thank you Lord for answered prayers!!šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ā™„ļø

Today when I went out and saw Scout extremely bloated after trying multiple things last night, I was so defeated. Ready to give up because we had truly tried everything.

I decided to talk with another vet and get their opinion. He took this head on knowing we’ve been battling this all week and don’t have much time to try anything else. He is able to preform a procedure that he believes can cure Scout. This is truly a miracle!!

While he may not get to live his life as an incredible bull, I will just be overly thrilled to keep him here with us. This procedure is not a guarantee, but it’s the most hopeful we’ve felt yet.

Please, please keep praying that this is successful! Keep fighting buddy! Let’s get him back to as happy as he was in this picture🄹

Update on our sweet Scoutā™„ļø

He is fighting. I can tell he wants to make it past this. He has bloated up again today but has been handling it much better than the past few days.

We’re at the vet once again, 4th trip in 4 days, to de-bloat one more time and then try a few hail-mary remedies.

I’ve chatted with multiple of you who had similar situations or tips on what to try, and I truly couldn’t appreciate it more. Thank you for reaching out— I appreciate it so much!

Keep praying! I believe we can figure this out and get him healthy. You’ve got this, buddy!ā™„ļø
